Today, there is a few number of BCIs users and the most of time, they are researchers and not paralyzers or blindness people (ref: Nijboer). A reason is the price of this technology. Even if the price decreases, it is likely that the technology will not be accessible to everyone. So how can we do to make BCI’s accessible for everyone and not one more element of discrimination between rich and graduate people and the others?
I think the price of the service and social reimbursement through social security is certainly important. Moreover, I think it is not easy although interesting to think about extra-economic limitation for the access to a product. Publilc policy obviously have a role to play on this
