Feng Zhang, a biologist from the Broad Institute stated that “the major roadblock in that whole field has been that mice are just not good models.” Mice do not have the same brain structures as humans and there are thousand more experiments that have yet to been tested. Is it possible that the same “roadblock” will be discovered when using primates as model? Is there a limit to what primate-testing can answer? Will the next testing ground after primate-based experiments be willing-humans when primates come too short to supply us with the right answers to human-related genes?
