One out of the 14 fact sheets of the Ocean & Climate platform is dedicated to the ocean as a carbon sink. It explain how, through centuries-long processes, carbon has been cut away from the atmosphere by being kind of digested by the seas and then stocked at their bottom. As scientists are now familiar with this phenomenon, would it be possible to reproduce it on a large scale to speed up the ability of earth to manage carbon emissions?

On this subject, the question http://students.cri-paris.org/questions/q/is-bioengineering-a-solution-to-repair-the-carbon-pump/ would be more interesting to ask to the expert in my opinion.
